Yong Min segues seamlessly from the trickster – imitating and parodying objects and people – echoing Alexandre da Cunha’s adopted and re-positioned objects, to the true embodiment of form, character and essence free of all irony. Yong Min’s dizzying, knowing movements from one state to another creates a kind of vertiginous disembodiment similar to that described by some Olympic athletes who experience a strange separation of mind and body in mid-performance.
At The Ragged Arts Festival Yong Min mirrored and linked the works of all the artists seamlessly weaving the works and the building together.
